Kingskerswell Methodist Church is situated on Torquay Road, Kingskerswell
The village of Kingskerswell is situated part way between Torquay and Newton Abbot. The village straddles the main A380 road linking the two towns and for many years there has been talk of a by-pass road being built but so far this has come to nothing. There are 6 churches in the village - Anglican, Community, Gospel Hall, Catholic, United Reformed as well as Methodist. There is also a health centre, a chemist shop, a Library and a dental surgery. In addition there is a modern Primary School and a number of pre-school playgroups. The village is also served by a variety of small shops. The adult population of Kingskerswell is just over 4000 and it is a pleasant and convenient place in which to live. A number of retired people have made the village their home but there are plenty of activities in which all ages can join. There are various midweek church services and activities as well as coffee mornings and other events including regular meetings of the Women's Institute, Townswomen's Guild, Gardening Club, Natural History Society and a Friendship Club for Senior Citizens.
